Holiday Photo Attire: The Do’s and Don’t’s

It's the most wonderful time of the year!  The holiday season is upon us and seemingly everyone is having their family photo's updated.   Now I know it's a very exciting time, and sometimes folks can get a little overzealous in their outfit preparations.  So please enjoy a few examples of what not wear: Sunless Tanner Mishap...It's okay to have a glow, as long as your glow is not a shade of Dorito (and I mean that in the kindest way possible): photo badxmasphoto.jpg Pick a theme, not a costume (but I like your gusto): photo badxmasphoto3.jpg photo badxmasphoto4.jpg Be mindful of what is age appropriate, the red onesie is cute on your baby, but not on his Daddy (kudos on being original though): photo badxmasphoto2.jpg Less is not always more (there's not much else to say): photo badxmasphoto5.jpg All joking aside, you can have a themed family photo that is silly and whimsical but still timeless. Here are some of the Do's: This couple's color palette coordinates without being to "matchy-matchy" and I love that they included their fur-babies! photo goodxmasphoto.jpg or how this family's creative color palette is different from the typical reds, greens, and winter white's: photo goodxmasphoto2.jpg Another idea is for your family to be coordinated but not posed in the typical face-forward shot. I love how this family looks candid, yet collected for their photo: photo goodxmasphoto3.jpg and lastly, don't forget to capture your family unit (here's my silly crew): photo 25051_10151285228569814_1295634562_n-1.jpg Whether it's sophisticated or silly, please remember that it is most important to be you!!
